The Next Chapter of Tri Peak Athlete: Where Performance, Recovery and Innovation Come Together

Tri Peak Athlete is growing—but the heart of our mission has not changed.

For more than two decades, I have worked with athletes, coaches and communities who believe that meaningful progress is built through consistency, education, accountability and a genuine commitment to the person behind the performance.

Tri Peak Athlete began as a coaching platform designed to help athletes prepare for challenges they once believed were beyond their reach. Over the years, it became much more. It became a community, a place for athlete development, a resource for coaches and a platform for sharing the lessons that come from training, racing, leading and continuing to learn.

Now, we are preparing for the next chapter.

Performance Is More Than a Training Plan

Experience has taught me that training alone does not create lasting performance.

A well-designed plan matters, but an athlete’s ability to adapt to that plan also depends on recovery, readiness, strength, mobility, sleep, stress, communication and the demands of everyday life. Numbers can help guide us, but they never replace the relationship between the athlete and coach.

That is why the Tri Peak Athlete approach is expanding to bring together:

  • Individualized endurance coaching
  • Strength, mobility and movement development
  • TrainingPeaks and performance-data analysis
  • Readiness and recovery monitoring
  • Objective performance assessments
  • Athlete and coach education
  • Innovative recovery strategies and technology

The purpose is not to chase every new device or trend. The purpose is to identify tools that can help us ask better questions, make more informed decisions and support more consistent training.

Technology should support the process. The athlete must always remain at the center of it.

Creating a Stronger Connection Between Training and Recovery

Athletes are often very disciplined about completing their workouts, yet recovery is frequently treated as something optional—something we address only after fatigue, pain or poor performance begins to interfere with training.

I believe recovery should be planned with the same intention as training.

This does not mean promising shortcuts. It means paying closer attention to how the body is responding, using information responsibly and helping athletes develop habits that support long-term consistency.

Our developing 12-week Triathlon Performance and Recovery Program reflects this philosophy. The program is designed to explore the relationship among structured endurance training, athlete-reported feedback, readiness information and scheduled recovery support in a real-world training environment.

We will look at meaningful measures such as training completion, planned versus completed workload, sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate-variability trends, perceived readiness and the athlete’s response to key sessions. The goal is to learn—not to force a predetermined conclusion.

This project represents the direction in which Tri Peak Athlete is moving: practical coaching experience supported by responsible data, education and innovation.

Why Winback Is Part of This Story

My professional role has also grown. In addition to serving as the founder and head coach of Tri Peak Athlete and as a USA Triathlon Level III Coach, I now serve as the U.S. Business Development Manager for Winback USA.

That role allows me to work with healthcare, rehabilitation, wellness and performance professionals across the country. I help introduce them to Winback technology, connect them with education and support them as they consider how to implement it responsibly within their practices and performance environments.

Winback is not replacing the identity of Tri Peak Athlete, and technology is not replacing coaching or professional judgment. Instead, this work creates a bridge among athletes, coaches, practitioners, education and performance innovation.

TECAR therapy is an evolving modality used in rehabilitation and sports settings. Current research is promising in several areas, while important questions and evidence gaps remain. That is exactly why education, qualified professional oversight, appropriate screening and honest measurement are so important.

I want Tri Peak Athlete to be a place where we can explore these ideas responsibly—without hype, without guarantees and without losing the human connection that has always guided our work.

One Mission, Serving Two Communities

As the website evolves, visitors will begin to see two clear pathways.

For Athletes and Coaches

Tri Peak Athlete will continue to provide individualized coaching, race preparation, performance monitoring, education, accountability, community programs and practical recovery guidance.

For Healthcare and Performance Professionals

The platform will also share education, events, demonstrations, implementation insights and opportunities to learn how Winback technology may fit within a professional practice or performance setting.

These are not two unrelated directions. They are connected by the same mission:

To help people train smarter, recover with greater intention, perform with purpose and better serve the communities that depend on them.

What You Will See Next

In the coming weeks, Tri Peak Athlete will introduce a cleaner website experience and a clearer way for each visitor to find the information that matters most to them.

You will see:

  • A renewed coaching and performance philosophy
  • Clear service pathways for athletes and professionals
  • More education about training, recovery and readiness
  • Updates from the 12-week Triathlon Performance and Recovery Program
  • Research-informed discussions about TECAR and performance technology
  • Athlete, coach and practitioner stories
  • Workshops, demonstrations and hands-on learning opportunities

This evolution will be reflected across the website and our social platforms before September 12, 2026.

That date is meaningful because it also marks the Winback Clinical Immersion Tour in Orlando–Maitland. During the event, healthcare and performance professionals will have an opportunity to learn about TECAR therapy, see Winback technology in action and explore practical applications in rehabilitation, recovery, wellness and performance.

It is a fitting milestone for this next chapter: bringing education, hands-on experience, professional collaboration and innovation together.

The Mission Continues

I am proud of how far Tri Peak Athlete has come, but I am even more excited about where we are going.

This is not a departure from our foundation. It is the natural growth of everything we have learned through coaching athletes, developing communities, working with professionals and staying open to better ways of serving people.

Tri Peak Athlete will always be rooted in coaching, relationships and the belief that every person deserves to be seen as more than a set of numbers.

Now, we are strengthening that foundation with better education, more intentional recovery, objective information and innovative tools.

Welcome to the next chapter of Tri Peak Athlete—where performance, recovery, education and innovation come together.
