Racing for a Cause: Supporting Autism Speaks at the Walt Disney Marathon Weekend

Hello everyone,

As many of you know, my passion for coaching extends beyond just physical training; it includes supporting and empowering athletes of all abilities. This year, I’m excited to participate in the Dolphy Challenge during the Walt Disney Marathon Weekend, and I’m dedicating my race to a cause that is incredibly important to me—Autism Speaks.

Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), affects millions of individuals worldwide, encompassing a range of challenges such as social skills, repetitive behaviors, and communication difficulties. Autism Speaks is an organization dedicated to promoting solutions and support for individuals with autism and their families. Their mission includes advocacy, increasing understanding and acceptance, and advancing research into causes and better interventions.

Why This Cause Matters

Working closely with neurodiverse athletes, including those with autism and Down syndrome, I witness firsthand their unique strengths and the challenges they face. Supporting Autism Speaks means contributing to a brighter future for these athletes and their families, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

How You Can Help

I am raising funds for Autism Speaks while pursuing a personal goal in the Dolphy Challenge. Your support can make a significant impact on the lives of individuals with autism. Every donation, no matter the size, helps Autism Speaks continue their vital work.

Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can make a difference!

Warm regards,

Hector
