West Coast Clinical Immersion Tour Recap: From TMJ Care in San Diego to Aesthetics in Los Angeles

This weekend reminded me why I enjoy doing these Clinical Immersion Tours so much.

You can talk about technology. You can show someone a presentation. But there is something completely different that happens when practitioners put their hands on the technology, work with real people, ask questions, and begin thinking about how it could fit into their own practice.

Our West Coast Clinical Immersion Tour gave us exactly that opportunity.

Over two days, we moved from San Diego to Los Angeles, working with different types of practitioners and exploring very different applications of Winback TECAR Therapy.

And that was probably my biggest takeaway from the weekend:

The versatility of the BACK4 really comes to life when clinicians experience it for themselves.

Stop One: TMJ & Dental Wellness in San Diego

Team TMJ

We started the weekend in San Diego with Dr. Brad and his team at the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre.

This was a particularly exciting environment because we had the opportunity to bring together dentists, practitioners, team members, and patients for an open-house-style experience focused on TMJ and surrounding tissue applications.

Rather than simply explaining TECAR Therapy, we were able to demonstrate how Winback can become part of a hands-on approach to working with tissue, discomfort, mobility, muscular tension, and the surrounding structures involved in TMJ care.

That distinction matters.

Winback isn’t designed to replace the practitioner’s hands or clinical reasoning. It gives the practitioner another tool that can be incorporated into the way they already assess, treat, and interact with their patients.

The BACK4 provides multiple TECAR frequencies as well as CET, RET, Hi-TENS and Hi-EMS capabilities, giving practitioners options for working with different tissue depths and therapeutic objectives. back4 virtual demo back4 virtual demo

Watching dentists experience those possibilities firsthand created some great conversations.

It wasn’t just:

“What does Winback do?”

The conversation quickly became:

“How could I use this with the patients I’m already seeing?”

That’s exactly what I want these immersion events to accomplish.

Stop Two: Los Angeles Clinical Immersion — A Different Side of Winback

The following day, we headed to the Los Angeles area for the next stop of our West Coast Clinical Immersion Tour.

This time, the conversation shifted.

We explored the aesthetic, tissue and facial applications of Winback, including facial protocols, tissue quality, circulation, drainage, collagen activity and the integration of technology with the practitioner’s hands.

And this is where people began seeing another dimension of the BACK4.

The same platform we had just explored in a TMJ-focused environment could now be incorporated into completely different workflows involving skin, fascia, facial tissue, wellness and aesthetics.

Winback’s educational material describes TECAR applications across cutaneous and subcutaneous tissue, fascia, muscle and deeper structures, while the platform’s multiple frequencies allow practitioners to adjust how superficial or diffuse the energy application is. back4 virtual demo back4 virtual demo

There is also an emerging scientific foundation around these tissue applications. Published cellular research summarized by the Winback Academy has investigated RF/TECAR effects on human dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes, including cellular processes relevant to tissue regeneration and extracellular-matrix remodeling. Winback Academy Clinical Studies

That gives us an important responsibility: education needs to come before claims.

My goal isn’t to tell practitioners that one device magically does everything.

My goal is to help them understand the technology, understand the physiology, stay within their professional scope, and then determine where it genuinely makes sense in the care they already provide.

One Device. Very Different Clinical Conversations.

That was the story of this weekend.

San Diego: TMJ, dental wellness, muscular tension and patient experience.

Los Angeles: aesthetics, tissue quality, facial applications, circulation and practitioner-led wellness.

Same BACK4.

Very different applications.

And that is one of the reasons I believe the BACK4 can become much more than another modality sitting in the corner of a treatment room.

It can become a practice-building platform.

Our internal education describes the BACK4 in exactly that context: a comprehensive system designed for practices looking to expand across rehabilitation, pain management, sports performance and aesthetics. meeting-Stamford-13-14-march2026

But a device alone doesn’t build a practice.

People do.

The technology has to fit the practitioner’s expertise, patient population and business model. Then the team has to understand it well enough to confidently incorporate it into the patient experience.

That’s why these Clinical Immersion Tours matter.

Experience Before Implementation

One philosophy continues to guide how I want to introduce Winback to practices:

Understand it → See it → Experience it → Envision it → Implement it.

I don’t want someone purchasing technology simply because they watched a presentation.

I want practitioners to experience it.

Ask difficult questions.

Put their hands on it.

See different workflows.

Then ask themselves:

“Where could this fit in my practice?”

Because when that answer becomes clear, we’re no longer talking about buying another piece of equipment.

We’re talking about creating another capability within the practice.

Thank You, West Coast

A huge thank you to Dr. Brad and his entire team in San Diego, along with every dentist, clinician, practitioner, patient and professional who joined us throughout the weekend.

And thank you to everyone who participated in our Los Angeles Clinical Immersion experience and was willing to learn, practice and explore a different side of Winback.

For me, this tour wasn’t about simply showcasing a device.

It was about showcasing possibility.

From rehabilitation and tissue work to TMJ support, performance, recovery and aesthetics, the more clinicians experience the BACK4 firsthand, the easier it becomes to understand why versatility matters.

The best way to understand Winback is to experience Winback.

And the West Coast was another great reminder of that.
